My passion for customer service began in 1985 at my first job as a food server in an American diner in a small town in the Midwest.  I didn't know it at the time, but that choice would forever alter the direction of my life. Shadowing a few "career" waitresses, I learned the art of reading people within seconds of approaching their table.  Equally important, I learned how to serve each dinner party based on their personality, their mood that evening, and their desired dining experience.  Yes, you really can determine that within seconds of meeting them if you pay attention.

That was a win-win. The customers received more than just dinner, they enjoyed "outstanding service," because it was the type of service they desired.  And, I enjoyed big tips (well over the standard 20%) as well as many "regular" customers who always requested to sit in my station.  Not realizing I had any special talents, I could not understand why friends wanted to work in the mall for minimum wage instead of the fun, high-energy environment and awesome income of the restaurant industry.

The summer after college, I moved to Phoenix.  In 1992, I obtained my Arizona Real Esate License and began working in property management, leasing and managing luxury apartment communities. It was in those five years that I really polished my skills in the Art of Customer Service. There is something about working with people where they live.  They're more touchy about everything, but so much more appreciative when they feel well cared for.  One of my best friends today used to live at Monteil.  She says she and her husband stayed in that apartment much longer than any other (leaving only to become homeowners).  They stayed not because of the apartment (it was tiny) nor the location (somewhat undesirable) but because my service knocked their socks off!  I loved my residents, staff and property, but in the interest of better earning potential I left to pursue a real estate career and soon became a "Top Producer"  as a residential REALTOR®, specializing with first time home buyers. I enjoyed walking buyers through the process of purchasing their first home.  My efforts were rewarded by prospering through repeat client & referral business (no advertising!) in my third year.

In 2001 I was recruited by my preferred Escrow Officer, with whom I had closed over 100 transactions, to be the Marketing Rep for her Southeast Valley office. She was the most knowledgeable & dependable Escrow Officer in the valley, in my opinion, and therefore a pleasure to represent.  Hard work and a true passion for delivering outstanding customer service (to outside customers as well as my inside staff), made me the company's top performer; consistently earning the monthly "Most New Business" award. I was honored to be promoted in 2003 to V.P. of Sales and Marketing. This title gave me the creative license to conceptualize many innovative ways to market to the company's target audiences. I assembled a top notch sales and marketing team to implement these concepts with great success. We were voted #1 in "Ranking Arizona" Magazine the last two years I held the VP position.
